Become a Boss Lady by following these five tips in your personal and professional life:
Do not be afraid to be ‘out there’
In most cases, people with low self-esteem and confidence do not explore their unique perspectives on things. Never be afraid of sharing what you think on matters both personal and professional. Explore your creative side and be vulnerable with your ideas. It might be scary and even unnerving at first to put yourself out there, but the end result is worth it when you see your creative side being appreciated, lauded, and blossoming into action.
Setting boundaries is crucial
Being kind and empathetic to your loved ones, friends, family, and colleagues is great. However, make sure that you are not spreading yourself too thin, putting on too many hats, and playing every role imaginable to your near and dear ones.
Do not let people around you guilt trip you into going out of your way every time or project their insecurities on you. It is okay if you offend them by saying no. Setting necessary boundaries is crucial for any healthy and well-functioning relationship. If your happiness and peace of mind are at stake when going out of your way for someone every time, maybe the relationship is not as strong as you think it is.
Look after your company
We become the sum total of the people we spend most of our time with. We begin imitating the habits, expressions, and emotions of our company, whether we want it or not. So make sure you surround yourself with women whom you consider the real boss women.
They do not have to be inspirational in the conventional sense, with fancy degrees and a seven-figure income. Choose your close social circle wisely, hold them close and become an inspiration for other women together.
Do NOT play it safe
Playing safe would only take you so far. In order to be limitless, do not be afraid to take risks. Life is but a gamble, so take calculated risks, weigh out every option, and dive headfirst into whatever it is that you’re pursuing. Always remember that your comfort zone is the death of creativity and spark–life begins where your comfort ends. Yes, it is going to be difficult and yes, you are going to feel lost at one point or another, but that is exactly how all excellence and brilliance begins.
