Oftentimes, you see an advertisement or a billboard for a product and you like the name. In most instances, this means that the next time you head over to a grocery store or mall, if you spot that product in an aisle, you’ll grab it because it has already made a positive impression on you. It’s precisely due to this human behavior that companies tend to name their products in a catchy and memorable way.
You’ll be amazed to know that there are also some products out there with shockingly weird names. If you’re interested to know more about some of these catastrophic marketing fails, keep on reading.
1. Wunder Boner
Sometimes, companies like to spice things up with a little bit of humor and Wunder Boner happens to be a great example of this strategy. The product is used to easily debone a fish and in all honesty, it seems like a great product for people who are looking to debone a fish quickly and easily. So, maybe the product isn’t that bad after all, but the name? Now that is a completely different story. So if you are looking to buy something as a gift for someone who loves a good pun, this wierdly-named product might be the perfect choice.
2. Crea-Mass
This particular brand of creatine is a bodybuilding supplement that claims to support the body in muscle building. Although admittedly, there’s nothing wrong with the product itself–that is, until you say its name out loud. For someone who is working hard for their dream physique, using a product that is literally named Crea-mass might be a bit of a turn off. It’s almost as if the marketing department decided ti cut corners by mashing together the words creatin and mass to come up with this hasty, and frankly, ridiculous name.
3. The Jew’s Ear Juice
Imagine drinking a canned beverage only to realize that it’s called ‘The Jew’s Ear Juice.’ We wouldn’t blame you if you’ve suddenly lost your appetite after reading the name too. The Chinese beverage is actually derived from a fungus that is commonly referred to as the Jew’s Ear, hence the name of the drink. Despite having a logical idea behind it’s naming scheme, we still can’t get over the fact that ‘The Jew’s Ear Juice’ is a pretty weird one.nonetheless.
Can you believe these embarrassingly weird names? We certainly can’t.
